Sewer Rates
Sewer Bills are calculated using the same gallons water usage as appears on Leesport's Water/Trash Bills. Consumers are billed quarterly. Sewer Bills come out one month after the Water/Trash Bills and are paid to the Leesport Borough Authority. While the Authority is a component unit of the Borough of Leesport, it is a separate legal entity with separate bank accounts and federal identification.

2024 BUDGET
Sewer Back Ups
The Leesport Borough Authority is generally not liable under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for any cost for clean up or repair relating to a sewer back up in your home. It is possible that such back ups may occur on occasion. You are strongly encouraged to contact your homeowners insurance agent to see if you are covered for damage resulting from the back up of wastewater. Sewers can back up into basements through floor drains or basement plumbing fixtures. It is the property owner's responsibility to protect the building. In the event of a sewer back up the homeowner must call a plumber for emergency services. If you have a floor drain it should be capped off.
